About

I spent 22 years in schools, 14 of them as a principal. Now I help schools and districts run better.

I led middle and high schools in Las Vegas and Utah, from a 3,000-student campus in Clark County to Bountiful High in Davis School District. The work I liked best was building systems that made life easier for teachers and kids, and building partnerships that brought more opportunity into the building.

Today I'm Director of District Relations at Vega Events, where I work with schools, districts and colleges in Nevada, New York, Utah and beyond. I know what a principal's week looks like, so I try to make their jobs simpler, not add to the pile.

  1. 2026 to present

    Account Executive and Director of District Relations

    Vega Events · Highland, Utah

    • Manages school, district and college partnerships in Nevada, New York, Utah and other states.
    • Leads demos, onboarding and training, and stays the day-to-day contact after launch.
  2. 2019 to 2026

    Principal, Syracuse Jr. High and Bountiful High School

    Davis School District · Utah

    • Ran a comprehensive high school, from hiring to professional development.
    • Instructional and professional leader for more than 200 employees.
    • Grew CTE and AP enrollment every year for four straight years.
  3. 2014 to 2019

    Principal, Shadow Ridge High School

    Clark County School District · Las Vegas, Nevada

    • Led campus-wide reforms, including the move to Google Apps for Education.
    • Grew AP enrollment by 400% and scholarship dollars awarded by 90% in two years.
    • Finalist for the Project XQ high school reform grant.
  4. 2012 to 2014

    Principal, Brinley Middle School

    Clark County School District

    • Created the Flex Academy at Brinley.
    • Raised average literacy levels by almost two full grade levels.
    • Grew Algebra I enrollment from 4 students to 99 in two years.

    Assistant Principal, Arbor View High School

    Clark County School District

    • Managed curriculum and instruction for a school of 3,000 students.
    • Built the PLTW Biomedical Science program and the largest AP and scholarship program in CCSD.

    • Created a blended learning certification program for staff.
